The Mind in us..

1 Corinthians Chapter 2 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Paul said it, not me… The mind of Christ. Who can know it? We can! “10 But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit” We are sealed upon Salvation. When we confess our sins and accept Christ we are born again! At this time we are given the Holy Spirit one-third of God lives and dwells in us. Have you thought about that today? I bet not. I bet you didnt wake up and acted like one-third of the trinity lives in you.

Philippians 4:8
King James Version (KJV)
8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Is this how we live? I don’t. I want to but I don’t. I strive to, but i fail. I claim I John 1:9.
The mind of Christ, When Jesus was being tempted he quoted Scripture. When I’m tempted I give in. The mind of Christ is a life time study, but for now let’s look at it this way. Paul said we have the mind of Christ, if we died to our selves we would live like we had the mind of Christ.

Today, be the worm….

So I am wondering, “Am I the worm? Or am I the robin?”  Jesus tells us in that we shouldn’t worry about thing’s of this life. Consider the lily, consider the birds of the air. They don’t fret about the need’s of today. Why should we.

Jesus Saying, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

I was sitting at Dr Reed’s office not long ago and I watched as the robins enjoyed eating the worms that was still on the surface of the grass, before escaping from the heat of the day. Robin birds pulls on this worm and gulps it down. I of course am reminded of Jesus telling us that this bird did not live the day before worrying if there was food for the next. Jesus tells us that the bird doesnt even plant a harvest let alone reap one. But I got to thinking, the worm had the lack of same thought. You see the worm didnt awake and know that he would be breakfast. Let me get to my point. Are we as Christian’s used to be a blessing or do we take the blessing. The worm gave of himself to be a blessing (he gave all to the point of death) and the bird took the blessing that God provided for it. So again wich one are we? Do go around expecting to be blessed as the robin was expecting the worm to be there, or do we give when we don’t plan on it so that others may be blessed.  Are we the worm or the robin?

We shall see Him. Will you be ashamed at that time?

1Jn 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
1Jn 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

So much of this life is a fight, no really it is. There is a fight of the carnal flesh and the spiritual man. Jesus being God and yet being man fought this fight. The gospels tell us of this fight and highlight 3 of them for us to learn from him. Mark 1:12-13. Today I read the book of First John, I read the section of how trough confessionof our sin that our relationship to God can be restored, I have heard 1 John 1:9 my whole life, sadly it can get to the point of boredom yeah yeah I know confess he forgives. WAIT what am I saying?! Because of the death of Jesus on the cruel cross we get forgiveness! We are born with a debt of sin that we can not pay and HE PAID it for us! WOW

So I continue on and come to the portion of scripture. Inspired by the Holy Spirit John writes WATCH OUT FOR THE ANITCHRISTS! He is tell us that there are those that claim to be of Christ that really aren’t of Christ. Today we can see that in so many people that can write a book put a fancy title on it and call it Biblical. Oh be careful little eyes what you read, tv shows you follow, what TV preacher you watch. Back to my fight story, its really our fight story that becomes HIStory, Christ’s blood and sacrifice make our sin History. That is why John can write this. Ok folks listen, you sin He forgives He will be back for us and once you receive his forgive you won’t be ashamed when you see him. Now that a statement.

WOW we shall see Jesus. He is coming He is coming again for his bride the Church. Notice that when he comes that we are to abiding in him. Interesting thoughts, here on earth we are to abide in Him, ok I got that part, But when he comes (the one we are abiding with) we shall 1. See Him 2. Not be ashamed 3. Be like him 4. We shall see him as he is.

Do you get it, am I clear? When we confess our sin, when we repent of doing things our way, he forgives us. We are not to do things our way! We are to obey him! When we do this we are abiding in him. We get to see him! AS HE IS. We will see the I AM as HE IS. (Goose bumps!)
The result of this matter is simple, we sin we denied the righteousness on God, we are not in him or of him. While we are saved and still secure in his salvation we are sinners and we still serve the devil. This is the fight; it is a fight of the old man and new man. Today live like you are! Saved Saved Saved! Live this day of remembrance for all those that died to set us free as a nation, but live it in the freedom that cant be taken away. Freedom in Christ. See him as he is. The Perfect Lamb of God.
