Therefore..

Therefore
One thousand and thirty seven times therefore is in the KJV. I have always heard when you see a therefor ask why it is there for. Go ye therefore….  Defined as for that reason or into this cause. Therefore …Christ says All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.Go ye therefore, and
1. teach all nations,
2.baptizing them in the name of the
a.Father,
b.and of the Son,
c.and of the Holy Ghost:
3.Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo
4. I am with you
a.alway,
b.even unto the end of the world.
5.Amen. Matthew 28
We are given all power from Christ, it is his to give. Because he gave us this power he telss us what to do with it. Therefore because I have power to heal power to save and power to forgive GO and TELL those that don’t know that it is in my power to do these things. Therefore or within this power I COMMAND you as my follower to teach, to preach, to baptize in my Name.
Shooo go I am leaving you the comforter don’t be afraid. Just GO.  For the reason of my birth life and death and resurrection go tell others.  Power is givin are we taking it? Is it left to ourselves or do we use it. Do we put the power therefore, or within us and GO!.

Act 1:8  But ye….

Ye is you, you are ye. Me is ye and I is ye. Christ address the small crowd that gathered to listen to him preach. This was not new Jesus preached many times to his followers. Forty days after rasin himself from the dead (there’s a thought to ponder) Christ is teaching his followers and tells them he is now going back to Heaven. He entered the world with a purpose, to die for us. Jesus say’s looking at believers (you or ye) to witness to others about who Jesus is. Why is it that we can read Jesus say “Go” yet we don’t. A friend of mine says Christians are goers or senders I say some (most) Christians are sitters. Sitting on the sidelines saying I am saved who cares about them. Jesus promised we have power yet we quench the very Holy Spirit that tells us to witness. I know of  Christians that watch TV more than any other desire(at least it appears this way). I hear in the hallways of church guys talking of sports but what about the empty seat in their car? Could it have been filled with a lost soul?  Lord help my intensive heart, allow me to see people as you do so I may be a ye and go and not a hypocrite and stay.

Go

From the Word, came the word that the world was made. Then the prize of the creation was created, you. Well man, not Mann, mankind. We were made to have fellowship with God, to be with him in fellowship. What an interesting thought. Was God lonely? Does he need us just to praise him?  No. The rocks will praise him so that can’t be it. Truth is from creation of Adam to the fall, God walked with him. It isn’t recorded that Adam asked God to walk with him God just did.

 

I love my children and I want to be with them, same with God. We are His creation after all. He wants to be with us. Cursed! God cursed the land! Caused man to sweat while he worked! Work?! What is that? Adam sinned and God can’t be around sin. We sin and cannot be around God. (Thankful for I John 1:9)

God also made a way for us to be in fellowship again with him. Blood! Not just blood, but blood from a lamb. Christ is the Lamb. Perfect Christ shed his perfect blood to reconnect us with the Perfect God.

Born from a virgin to break the chain of sin passed down from man (Adam) Christ is born! He lives perfect and dies perfect, broken and ashamed but perfect. Best part is that when he left, he left us with these words.

“…Wait for the promise of the Father..” “..It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth…” Acts 1

We commit sin. Got it.

We deserve Hell. Got it.

Christ died for us. Got it.

Christ sanctified us. Got it.

Christ says tell others. Got it…wait about that last part?
